The Studio28 Experience
Renovating your home should feel exciting, not overwhelming.
Whichever service you choose, you'll receive the same Studio28 approach, the same attention to detail and the same commitment to helping you renovate with confidence.
Every Studio28 project begins by understanding how you want to live.
Before we think about colours, furniture or finishes, we think about how your home needs to work. Whether you're renovating a single room, extending your home or embarking on a full renovation, we combine interior architecture, technical expertise and considered design to help you make informed decisions and create a home that works beautifully for the way you live.
The difference between our services isn't the quality of the design you'll receive. It's simply how involved you'd like us to be.

Questions
Questions? You're in the right place.
Renovating your home is a significant investment, and it's natural to have questions before getting started.
We've answered some of the ones we're asked most often, but if you can't find what you're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
-
The earlier, the better.
Many people think interior design begins once the walls are up and it's time to choose colours and furniture. In reality, the biggest decisions happen much earlier.
Room layouts, natural light, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting design, electrical layouts, storage and bespoke joinery all need to be considered before construction begins. Making these decisions early gives you greater freedom, helps avoid costly changes on site and results in a home that functions beautifully for years to come.
-
Both services follow the same thoughtful Studio28 design process.
The difference is simply how involved you'd like us to be once the design is complete.
Design provides everything you need to confidently deliver your renovation yourself, including the drawings, specifications and design information your contractor will need.
Design & Delivery includes everything in Complete Design, with the addition of procurement, contractor liaison, site coordination, installation support and final styling. We remain involved throughout the project to help bring every detail together.
-
Absolutely.
Many clients begin with our ‘Design’ service and then decide they'd like additional support once the project is underway.
Whether that's procuring furniture, attending contractor meetings, reviewing first fix, carrying out site visits or helping with installation, we're happy to become more involved at any stage of your project.
-
Yes. Complete Design is specifically created for clients who are happy to manage the implementation of their project themselves.
We'll provide a comprehensive specification detailing the products we've selected, allowing you to purchase retail items directly from suppliers at your own pace.
If you'd prefer us to manage ordering and supplier communication, this can be added through our Procurement Service.
-
Yes — and it's one of the most valuable pieces of information you can give us.
We believe a budget is a design tool, not a target.
Understanding your investment allows us to prioritise what matters most, make sensible trade-offs where needed and allocate your budget where it will have the greatest impact. It isn't permission to spend more; it's what allows us to design intelligently around your priorities.
-
That's completely normal.
Most of our clients don't come to us with a defined design style. They simply know they want their home to work better and reflect how they live. Our role is to uncover what matters to you, understand how your family uses your home and translate that into a design that's timeless, personal and uniquely yours.
-
Not in the traditional sense.
We don't believe every project should look the same.Instead, every Studio28 home is shaped by the people who live there. We design around family life, natural light, practicality and longevity, creating homes that feel effortless to live in rather than simply beautiful to look at.
Beautiful is expected. But it's only part of the story.
-
Every home is different, so timescales vary depending on the size and complexity of the project.
What we do know is that thoughtful planning always pays dividends. Allowing sufficient time for the design process before construction begins almost always leads to a smoother build, fewer costly changes and a more enjoyable renovation experience.
Once we understand your project, we'll provide realistic design timescales and help you plan ahead for construction.
-
Not at all. While we specialise in large-scale renovations and family homes, we also work on individual rooms and smaller projects where thoughtful planning can make a significant difference.
Whether you're redesigning a kitchen, creating a new master suite or transforming a single living space, we apply the same attention to detail and design thinking to every project.
-
Yes. We regularly collaborate with architects, contractors, structural engineers and specialist trades.
Great projects happen when everyone works together, and we're always happy to become part of your wider project team.
-
Because the builder's role is to build your vision — not create it.
The most successful renovations begin with a clear design before construction starts. By making key decisions early, your builder can price accurately, coordinate trades more effectively and avoid costly changes during the build.
It also means every decision from lighting and joinery, to kitchens and furniture layouts, has been considered as part of one cohesive vision, rather than being made in isolation as the project progresses.
