Meadowcroft

Renovation of a listed farmhouse bedroom and dining.

We were appointed to redesign the master bedroom and dining room of this beautiful Grade II listed farmhouse in Hertfordshire. The brief was to make both spaces work harder for our client’s busy, family-focused lifestyle, enhance the lighting, improve flow, and introduce a modern edge while honouring the barn’s rustic charm.

Working closely with our clients, we explored how they live day to day to ensure each space truly supported their lifestyle. The layouts were reimagined around family routines, introducing bespoke joinery and carefully considered furniture to bring calm and order to daily life. A layered, automated lighting scheme was designed to transition effortlessly from practical use to relaxed evenings at the touch of a button. Natural, tactile materials were chosen to celebrate the farmhouse’s listed heritage, while reimagined pieces from our client’s existing furniture helped preserve a sense of family history.

From concept through to installation, every element was thoughtfully sourced and coordinated through our full-service interior design approach, creating a harmonious, family-friendly home that blends modern comfort with timeless rustic charm. The result is rich in character and perfectly attuned to the way this family lives. Every detail considered to ensure longevity, comfort and a sense of ease that will evolve beautifully with the home over time.
